For the convenience of all those attending the forthcoming Doncaster and Tattersalls Sales, Mount Nelson will parade at both venues.
Julian Dollar, Newsells Park Stud’s general manager said: “Mount Nelson has let down into the most beautiful looking horse and is well worth seeing. He has just returned from Australia so we felt the parades offered the ideal opportunity to show him to a greater number of breeders across the country. Alternatively he is available for viewing at Newsells Park Stud.”
Mount Nelson had an excellent first book last year with over 110 mares covered, almost 50% of which were black type performers or producers.
A 320,000gns yearling by exceptional young sire, Rock of Gibraltar (Danehill) out of the prolific race filly, (and now broodmare) Independence (Selkirk), Mount Nelson proved himself one of 2006’s leading two-year-old colts when blitzing a top class field to win the Gr.1 Criterium International in track record time. He showed his toughness and ability to come back from injury and confirm himself as one of the best of his generation with his win in the Gr.1 Eclipse Stakes at four.
